Carpentry:
G & C Contracting can handle any of your carpentry needs. We provide many carpentry services such as installing trim work, and hardwood flooring, replacing rotten wood, building decks, cabinetry work and more. We combine modern techniques with highly skilled carpenters to provide fine craftsmanship in all of our carpentry projects.

Painting:
On new construction or walls that have never been painted, we first apply a primer to keep the drywall from absorbing the paint. We will then apply 1 -2 coats of paint using a roller, brush or sprayer.
If the walls have previously been painted, and there is loose or chipping paint, we first scrape the walls and then sand to remove the old paint. If there are holes in the drywall, we putty using a spackling compound and sand until smooth. We will then apply 1 - 2 coats of paint using a roller, brush or sprayer.

Drywall:
We use screws to fasten the drywall instead of nails. They hold better and can be removed without damaging the drywall.
The drywall sheets are placed horizontally on the wall. We hang upper panels first.
For maximum strength, we stagger the joints.
We make sure that all joints and fasteners are hidden to ensure a smooth surface for painting. Once the drywall has been installed and finished, you will have a smooth and even appearance.

Siding:
Whether your siding is wood (boards, shakes or shingles) or man-made (steel, aluminum or vinyl), it should last at least 20-30 years and, with proper maintenance, perhaps even the life of your home. Luckily, siding is not typically a source of trouble if it’s correctly installed and maintained by a professional.
The places where siding deteriorates quickest are:
1. Where it meets a chimney
2. Where it supports downspouts
3. Under the eaves
4. Around doors and windows
5. Where holes are created to install vents or pipes
6. At or near ground level

Roofing:

Gutters:
Gutters are one of the most often forgotten maintenance areas of a home, yet are one of the most important. G & C Contracting can repair or replace your damaged gutters. We also clean your gutters as well. Most contractors use high-pressure sprays to clean gutter systems, which can damage your gutters. G & C Contracting inspects all gutters and downspouts and then removes debris by hand to ensure your gutters are left spotless and undamaged.
